wait
As we grow older, time seems to pass more quickly. Events that I thought took place two years ago really happened ten years ago. Wasn't it only yesterday that I took out the garbage and a week has gone by already?Yet time continues to move slowly when we wait in the doctor's office. Even more slowly when we wait for God's response to our prayers.
"Can't God see how I'm suffering? Why is he taking so long?" we ask.
But let us heed the advice of the Psalmist:
Be still before the Lord and wait in patience.
